Description

Coming from the Rossignol VAS Equipe 3G, the new 3G Kevlar was introduced for the 1986-1987 season and went unchanged for 1987-1988, lost to the 4G Kevlar the next season. Rossi's racing giant slalom ski - metal/fiberglass laminate reinforced with Kevlar, foam core, VAS (Vibration Absorption System) damping elements in core and on topskin. Made of thin sheets of aluminum bonded to rubber, the external dampers were said to enhance stability in the turn. The internal VAS elements have been repositioned from the previous year to effect edge grip only. Interestingly, the sidecut on the 3G was the same as the popular 4S Kevlar, although the 3G was wider overall. 170-213cm
